This composition was written for Austria's largest competition for young musicians.
It has a fast, rhythmical, catchy tune with a lot
of energy, a pumping pulse and a very special tonality. In contrast to this, there is a
short and dreamy middle section. The title sums all of this up in the little
understatement: "Quantum of Action". As far as the interpretation of this piece is
concerned, it is best to think of it as a film score for an exciting thriller.
